EdiktWatch Österreich Privacy Policy
About this policy
EdiktWatch Österreich is operated by SEO Let's Go. Effective date: 2026-09-12. For support or privacy requests, use the contact page. This policy covers the EdiktWatch iPhone app and the handling of information when you visit its policy or contact pages.
EdiktWatch is not an official application
EdiktWatch is independent and is not affiliated with the Republic of Austria, the Austrian judiciary or the Bundesministerium für Justiz. Auction information is published by Austrian courts in the Ediktsdatei, and the official publication is always authoritative. You cannot place a bid, register for an auction or buy property through the app.
No account, and your installation credential
EdiktWatch has no sign-up, login, name, email address or phone number. The first time you save something, the app generates a random credential and stores it in the iOS Keychain on that device. It is bound to the device and is not synced to iCloud. The service stores only a SHA-256 digest of that credential, an installation identifier and the time it was created, so that your saved items can be returned to you and to nobody else.
Because the credential lives only on one device, reinstalling the app, resetting the device or moving to a new iPhone can leave previously saved items unreachable. Simply browsing the app creates no identity at all.
What stays on your device
Your language choice, whether you have seen the introduction, the list of recently viewed properties and a cache of pages you have opened are stored on the device. The browsing cache keeps viewed entries available for up to 30 days and can be cleared in Settings; clearing it does not erase your saved items or your planning. Device or operating-system backups may include app data according to your own settings.
Watched auctions and saved searches
When you watch an auction or save a search, the item is stored both on your device and in the service database on Cloudflare, because the server has to compare your choices against new court publications to tell you what changed. A saved search holds the name you gave it together with its filters and search terms. Search terms and filters are sent to the service when you search. Watched auctions and saved searches are not removed when a Pro subscription ends, and you can delete any of them individually at any time.
Private planning: notes, bid limits and reminders
Notes, a personal bid limit and your reminder choices for a property are stored on your device and in the service database. A personal bid limit is only a note to yourself; it is never submitted as a bid and never shown to anyone else. Planning entries have no automatic expiry and are kept when a subscription ends or when you stop watching a property, so that they are still there if you return.
You can delete the planning for one property, including older entries that were later matched to the same property, or erase all planning at once in Settings. After a deletion the service keeps an empty revision marker containing no note, amount or reminder, so that a delayed write from another device cannot silently restore deleted content.
Notifications
If you turn on notifications, the service stores the notification address that Apple issues for your device together with your delivery preferences, the changes that matched your choices, and a record of what was sent, so that the same notification is not delivered twice and a failed delivery can be retried. Apple processes that notification address and the content of each notification in order to deliver it.
Switching notifications off in the app stops further sending and clears that device's notification address straight away. If you instead revoke the permission in iOS Settings, the app clears the stored address the next time you open it. A notification already handed to Apple cannot be recalled. Your change history stays visible in the app. Notification and delivery records are kept separately from your planning: clearing notes does not delete them, and the current implementation does not promise a fixed purge date for them.
Auction reminders and the calendar
Reminders are calculated by the service for future, currently confirmed auction dates on properties you are still watching. They can arrive late or not at all, they are suspended while source data is delayed, and a reminder whose time has passed is not sent afterwards. Always check the official notice before acting on a date.
On an iPhone running iOS 17 or later you can hand a date to Apple's own calendar editor and save it yourself. EdiktWatch does not ask for permission to read your calendar, does not write to it directly and does not update an event after you have saved it. An exported event is yours to manage in the Calendar app.
Purchases
When purchasing is available, Apple and RevenueCat handle it. EdiktWatch identifies you to RevenueCat with a pseudonymous installation identifier only. Apple and RevenueCat process that identifier, product and transaction information, subscription status, your App Store region and device and connection information in order to verify a purchase and restore access. RevenueCat also provides subscription reporting such as renewals and revenue statistics; that is billing analytics, not advertising tracking.
Your watched auctions, saved searches, notes and bid limits are never sent to Apple or RevenueCat. Purchase records follow Apple's and RevenueCat's own retention policies. Deleting your data in the app does not cancel an Apple subscription and does not erase Apple's billing records; manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple subscriptions.
Where the auction information comes from
Current auction information is read from the official Ediktsdatei published by Austrian courts. The archive additionally contains historical records from a third-party mirror, zvginfo.at, and is deliberately described as a partial collection rather than a complete archive.
EdiktWatch does not extract or store the names of the parties to a case, of the obligated party or of court-appointed experts. Those sections of a notice are skipped before anything is stored, and attachment filenames are removed from document references, so a document is opened from its parent court notice rather than from a stored filename. The service keeps normalized property, case and date information together with a redacted excerpt of the notice as evidence of what the source said and when.
Hosting, abuse protection and logs
The app talks to a service running on Cloudflare, which stores the records described above. Ordinary connection information, including your IP address, reaches the hosting provider so that a request can be delivered and protected. To limit abuse, the edge IP address is processed in memory and converted into a coarse per-day digest used as a rate-limit key; no IP address, request path, search term or per-user counter is written to the database or to a log.
Operational logs record the outcome of scheduled work rather than personal records. Automatic per-request logging and tracing are switched off and query strings are redacted. The current provider retention for those logs is seven days.
Deleting your data
Settings contains a control that permanently deletes your EdiktWatch data: watched auctions, saved searches, notes, bid limits, reminder choices, your device profile and your notification records. Deletion works without a subscription and does not require you to cancel an Apple subscription first. It needs a confirmation from the service and can be retried safely; a lost or uncertain response is never reported as success.
After deletion the service keeps one unlinked digest of the revoked credential so that an outdated request cannot revive the deleted installation. That marker contains no notes, watches, searches or contact information. If RevenueCat has to be told about the deletion, the former provider identifier and retry information are kept only until RevenueCat accepts the request; provider erasure is asynchronous and is not immediate. Calendar events you have already exported and notifications already delivered remain under your control and Apple's.
You can also write to us through the contact page to ask about access, correction or deletion. Describe the request without sending the Keychain credential itself; we will never ask you to disclose it. We may need limited information to identify an anonymous service record.
No advertising or cross-app tracking
EdiktWatch contains no advertising, no affiliate links, no lead generation, no cross-app or cross-site tracking, no separate app-usage analytics and no crash-reporting service. It does not ask for your location and contains no map. We do not sell personal data. The RevenueCat subscription reporting described above is the only analytics of any kind. Platform security logs and Apple's own diagnostics are governed by the relevant provider's settings and policies.
Your rights in Austria and the European Union
SEO Let's Go is the controller for the limited information processed by the service. The legal basis for storing your watched auctions, saved searches, planning, subscription status and notification settings is that this processing is necessary to provide the features you chose to use. The legal basis for abuse protection, security and operational logging is our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and protected.
You have the right to request access to your personal data and its rectification or erasure, to request restriction of processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to receive your data in a portable form. The in-app deletion control is the fastest way to exercise erasure. For any other request, use the contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Austria this is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at). Service providers may process data outside Austria and outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards set out in their own policies.
Children
EdiktWatch is intended for adults researching Austrian judicial property auctions and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can review the request.
This website and contact requests
The policy and contact pages are hosted on seoletsgo.com. That website loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which sends connection information to Google when the font is requested. Visiting this website is separate from using the app. If you use the contact page, the name, email address, message and any other details you submit are handled through Web3Forms and our email service so that we can reply. Contact messages are separate from anything stored in the app and are kept as long as needed to resolve the request and to meet applicable obligations.
Changes and third parties
When our practices change we will publish a revised policy at this address with an updated effective date. Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, Google and Web3Forms each have their own privacy policies. Auction data originates from the Ediktsdatei of the Austrian courts, with historical archive records from zvginfo.at.
