Anchor Ready Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 8, 2026

This policy explains how Anchor Ready handles information when you use its iOS anchoring planner and optional annual Planner Pro subscription. For privacy questions or requests, contact Anchor Ready through our contact page.

1. Your planning information

Anchor Ready does not require you to create an account. Boat profiles, boat dimensions, rode inventory and marks, calculation inputs, saved plans, notes, proposed place names and coordinates, sharing preferences, display settings and basic local usage counters are stored in the app's storage on your device. We do not operate an Anchor Ready server database for this planning information, and we do not upload it to RevenueCat.

Your operating system may include app data in device backups according to your settings. Anchor Ready does not provide its own cloud synchronization service. Copies in device backups are controlled through Apple's backup and account settings.

2. Apple Maps and proposed positions

The optional map uses Apple's MapKit service. Viewing or moving the map requests imagery for the visible area; submitting an area search sends the search words and relevant map region to Apple. A proposed position you enter or select can determine the area requested from Apple. These requests can reveal the area you are planning to visit.

When you open a new anchorage map or choose Use my location, Anchor Ready asks for permission to use your location while the app is open. If you allow access, it requests a single recent position to center the nearby map area. The reported accuracy is shown so you can account for approximate location. This position is not automatically saved as an anchor. You choose and confirm the proposed anchor coordinates; confirmed positions are stored locally if you save the plan. The app does not track your movement in the background. You can decline permission and use area search or entered coordinates, or change permission later in iOS Settings. Map requests still involve network information, such as your IP address, and Apple may process service and device information under its own policies. See Apple Maps & Privacy. You can use the calculator and offline diagram without map imagery or search.

3. Purchases and RevenueCat

Apple processes Planner Pro payments through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to retrieve subscription offers, validate purchases, restore access and keep subscription status current. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous app user identifier and processes purchase and transaction information, product identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, entitlement status, and associated app, SDK, platform and locale information. Its service provides us with subscription reports and purchase analytics.

RevenueCat can receive requests when the app initializes or checks subscription access, even if you do not complete a purchase. We do not supply your boat profiles, plan notes, entered coordinates, name or email address as RevenueCat customer attributes. Apple handles payment credentials; Anchor Ready does not receive your card details or Apple account password.

Read RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy for their respective practices. Subscription information may be processed in countries other than your own through these providers.

4. Sharing and exported files

Sharing text or a PDF is an action you initiate. The information in that briefing is passed to the app, service or recipient you choose through the system share sheet. The location-sharing setting controls whether the saved place name and coordinates are included; it does not remove location details you have typed into plan names or notes. Review the briefing before sharing it.

Exported copies, saved files and information received by another service are outside Anchor Ready's local records. Deleting a plan does not delete copies you have already exported or sent.

5. Advertising, analytics and permissions

Anchor Ready contains no advertising SDK, does not request an advertising identifier and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising. We do not sell your planning information. The app has no separate usage-event analytics service; its lightweight usage counters remain local. Subscription reporting through RevenueCat is described above. Apple may separately provide App Store reports or diagnostics according to your Apple settings.

The app does not request access to your contacts, camera or microphone, and it does not register for push notifications.

6. Support and this website

If you contact us, we receive the contact information and message you choose to submit, including any attachments or diagnostic details you provide. We use that information to respond, investigate an issue or handle a privacy request. Please do not send passwords, payment credentials or sensitive navigation details.

Opening this policy or the contact page also makes a request to our website and its hosting providers. The website is served through Cloudflare, uses Google Fonts, and its contact form uses Web3Forms. Those services can process network information or submitted form information to deliver the page, protect the service and route your message. See the privacy information from Cloudflare, Google and Web3Forms. These website requests are separate from the app's locally stored planning records.

7. Retention, deletion and your choices

You can delete saved plans and boat profiles in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data, while offloading an app can retain its data. Device backups and exported copies may remain until you remove them separately. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete planning records stored only on your device.

Ending a subscription does not delete saved plans. Deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription or automatically erase Apple's or RevenueCat's purchase records. Manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Purchase and support records are retained as needed for access verification, support, fraud prevention and applicable recordkeeping obligations; provider-held records are also subject to the providers' retention practices.

Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, request portability, or complain to a data-protection authority. Use our contact page to make a request. We may need proportionate information to identify a relevant support or subscription record, because the app does not give us an account tied to your name. We will explain any applicable retention requirements or limits on what we can access.

8. Why information is processed

We process the information needed to provide features you choose, verify paid access and answer support requests. Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, this processing relies on providing the requested service, our legitimate interests in operating and securing it, and compliance with legal obligations. Where consent is required for optional processing, it must be obtained separately; using the app is not treated as blanket consent.

9. Children's privacy

Anchor Ready is a boating planning tool and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app or its data handling changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated as required. Questions and privacy requests can be sent through the Anchor Ready contact page.

Use of the app is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.
